We care for infants throughout their journey, from prenatal diagnosis to the NICU and through their first five years of life. Our team uses the latest medical advances – including a 47-bed Level IV NICU and Texas' first TeleNICU – to deliver complex care to critically ill infants.

Our Fetal Evaluation and Treatment Alliance (FETAL) Center offers specialized care to babies with prenatally diagnosed conditions, and our Thrive program helps successfully transition babies to home and beyond.

Our neonatal and pediatric transport team is one of the busiest in the nation and the first to be accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS) in all three modes of transportation: jet, helicopter and ground ambulance.

Welcome June Hu, M.D., Medical Director of the FETAL Center

June Hu, M.D., Neonatologist and Associate Professor at UT Southwestern, has been named the Medical Director of the Fetal Evaluation and Treatment Alliance Center at Children’s Health. The FETAL Center has helped hundreds of families – throughout Texas and beyond – overcome even the most complex prenatal conditions by diagnosing health issues before birth, creating a comprehensive birth plan and assembling specialized teams to care for babies once they’re born.

2021 PAS Meeting Poster Presentation

During this year’s Pediatric Academic Societies (PAS) Meeting, Margaret Hoge, M.D., Developmental Behavior, Lina Chalak, M.D., Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and Roy Heyne, M.D., Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, presented a poster on Novel Therapy for Preventing Vulnerable Child Syndrome in NICU Families: Feasibility & Satisfaction Data. 

2020 NICU Reunion

Our Level IV NICU team held a virtual reunion for all of our inspiring NICU graduates. Tuning in from near and far, our patient families were grateful for the opportunity to connect with our team and view a performance from our music therapist and play fun games. We're grateful for these difference makers and how they go above and beyond to celebrate our patients and their special milestones!
