David Campbell serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Learning Officer for Children’s Health.
In this role, he oversees the centralized Learning and Leadership Institute in addition to leading the charge to build clinical talent pipelines and development pathways to meet pressing health care talent needs, both in quantity and quality of talent.
Prior to re-joining Children’s Health in 2013, David served in various nursing and education leadership roles at two other Dallas-Ft. Worth health systems.
David graduated from Texas Woman’s University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and earned a Master of Science in Nursing Education from the University of Texas at Tyler. He holds a Nursing Professional Development Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
David has received numerous awards and accolades, including Advocacy for the Profession Award from the Association for Nursing Professional Development, D Magazine’s Excellence in Nursing Award and the Axis Award for Learning Design Excellence from the Association for Talent Development (Dallas Chapter). He was also recognized as a Dallas-Ft. Worth Great 100 Nurse for 2023.
