Dane Peterson serves as Chief Operating Officer for Children’s Health, providing leadership for clinical operations to ensure we are delivering consistent, comprehensive care systemwide to fulfill our mission of making life better for children. He also works closely with our academic partner, UT Southwestern, to integrate physician leadership and deepen our collaboration through the joint pediatric enterprise (JPE).
As a 20-year seasoned health care executive, Dane has a proven track record of driving results and operational performance throughout his career in both for-profit and not-for-profit academic health care.
Before Children’s Health, Dane spent more than 15 years at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, Georgia, ultimately serving as Interim Chief Executive Officer. Dane also served in leadership positions at Medical City Dallas Hospital in Dallas, Texas, and Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
Dane holds a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Industrial Operations from the University of Michigan.
