Alan Chin-Pao Sing, MD $$

Alan Sing, M.D. is a pediatric cardiologist at Children’s Health℠. He is the Medical Director of Pediatric Heart Specialists, the main ambulatory and outreach branch of The Heart Center, as well as Co-Director of Cardiology at Children’s Medical Center Plano and the Northern Markets. 

In addition to general pediatric cardiology, his clinical interests include preventative medicine related to hypertension and hyperlipidemia management. He has been involved in research protocols aiming to increase hypertension awareness and treatment within the general pediatric community. He is also passionate about the integration of technology in the delivery of health care, and optimization of clinical workflows.

Dr. Sing earned his medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He completed his residency in pediatrics and fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

“When a family comes to see me, I want them to feel like they’re talking to a member of their own family,” Dr. Sing says. “I give people the same level of consideration and expertise that I would want someone to give to my family members. I also embrace my role as a teacher – I try to break concepts down into an easy, digestible format so that parents feel confident about the care plan for their child.” 

Dr. Sing is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology. He’s a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association and the Texas Medical Association.

A native of St. Louis, Dr. Sing is an avid baseball fan who enjoys watching the St. Louis Cardinals. Married with two children, he and his family are active in their church and love to travel. He also enjoys singing and playing guitar and piano.
